The Quiet Room is open from 9.00am - 9.00pm daily located on Grand Parade.

The Quiet Room provides a space for people who may need a calm and quiet environment, taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the Easter Show. The space is designed to ensure comfort and relaxation, helping people manage sensory sensitivities, processing differences or other hidden disabilities. Featuring calm lighting, tactile and visual elements, acoustic panelling, and soft bean bag chairs to help people refocus and recharge .

With plenty of extra trains and Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses running regularly throughout the Show, it's easy to get to the Show and back by public transport.  

Details on extra services and transport options will be available at transportnsw.info. Please note, not all special event (or TNSW) bus services have accessible ability - please view the timetable before departing.

Patrons can be dropped off on Dawn Fraser Avenue accessed from Edwin Flack Ave. From here it is a short distance to the main entrance of the Sydney Royal Easter Show (located on Olympic Boulevard).

Group transport for people with accessibility needs may use this street parking on this end of Dawn Fraser Avenue (subject to availability).

All parking stations in Sydney Olympic Park are managed by Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA). Pre-booking of parking is recommended and must be done before the day of the event.

Please note, there is no option to pre-book an accessible parking spot. On entry into the carpark, you will be able to make your way to an accessible parking spot. If parking within a disability bay, a valid Mobility Parking Scheme permit must be visible. The parking lots closest to Showground access are P1 or P8. Whilst everyone is welcome every day of the Show, we understand people with disability may find the environment more challenging.

The busier days of the Show are over the Easter long weekend (Good Friday, to Easter Monday) and with the high volume of people, the noise onsite increases.

Quieter locations

• A Quiet Room is located on Grand Parade

• The Arts & Crafts Pavilion is a quiet zone with locations for taking a seat or viewing the gallery

• The Paddock with wide-open green spaces to relax is a fantastic place to find the shade of a tree to have a picnic

• On the corner of Hawkesbury Street and New England Ave, opposite the horse office are some picnic tables and you can watch the horses relaxing

• The Showbag Pavilion is a Show tradition and it is quieter in the mornings.

• The Woolworths Fresh Food Dome is quieter in the afternoon and evening unless it’s raining

You can find these locations via the Show map which is on the right hand side of this page. Or by asking one of our friendly volunteers who can be easily spotted in their bright green shirts.

Planning your time at the Show can be a helpful way to make your experience a great one—not just for people with disability but for the entire family.

Some suggested tips include:

• Plan a Visual Schedule
• A Safety Bracelet or Nametag · Watch videos of the Show here; there is lots of movement, colours, and sounds at the Show. Watching some videos can help ease into the Show experience.
• Choose a meeting location in case you get separated.
• Practice waiting in line; this is useful if you're planning on going on rides or purchasing Showbags.
• Have some earplugs or headphones handy.
• Bring a sensory toy or comfort item.
• Transport NSW will be handing out wristbands at the main entry gate. It is recommended to put a contact number should an individual get separated from their group.
• Hidden Disability Lanyards are recognised across the event site. These can be useful for people with neurodiversity to communicate that they may need extra time or assistance.

Within all permanent and temporary stadiums there are allocated wheelchair bays or accessible seating areas. This includes ENGIE Stadium, Woodchop Stadium and Amphitheatre. All stadiums and buildings are also accessible by ramps or elevators (e.g The Stables and ENGIE Stadium) to each level.

Everyone is more than welcome to use any of the toilets, parent rooms and accessibility toilets that are in Sydney Showground. Accessibility toilets are larger and over 50% of these have small showers inside. These toilets can be found via the Show Map which is coming soon.

Each individual carnival ride has set guidelines of usage that need to be adhered to at all times. Should these guidelines be met by the patrons, carnival operators are available at all times to assist with access. Please note that KIIS Eye is accessible to people who use a wheelchair or mobility device.

When purchasing a PWD ticket online, should you have a Companion Card and/or Vision Impaired + Attendant card, you will be able to obtain a complimentary ticket for your companion with your PWD ticket purchase. PWD tickets which also require a carer's ticket are available to those issued with acceptable identification.

All card transactions are subject to a 1.5% transaction fee. Members of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW receive a 10% discount on the hire of scooters and wheelchairs, to find out more about becoming a member click here.

Mobility equipment should be pre-booked online, at https://showlockers.com.au/ Bookings are available to be made on the day at the Show Mobility marquee located on Olympic Boulevard, but is subject to availability. Please note, the hire of all equipment will require a valid credit card. 

Cancellation Policy for Show Mobility equipment hire

If it is necessary to cancel your online booking, a full refund will be made if Show Mobility are advised by email at infoshowmobility@gmail.com no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the day you have booked.

You can also access the manual for your equipment within the Terms and Conditions section in the booking form to ensure that the equipment is suitable for your needs and that you are confident in its operation.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show welcomes visitors accompanied by accredited and vaccinated Assistance Dogs.

Given the unique nature of the Show environment — including livestock, working animals, and large crowds — it is essential that all Assistance Dogs are properly trained, vaccinated, and under control at all times. The biosecurity and welfare of the animals on site is paramount, and we thank you for supporting these important measures.

We recognise and welcome the following types of Assistance Dogs:

• Guide Dogs that assist people with vision impairment;
• Hearing Dogs that support people with hearing loss;
• Assistance or Service Dogs that are trained to assist individuals with a disability and to alleviate the effects of that disability.

To help us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all, we kindly ask that:

• Your dog is clearly identified as an Assistance Dog (e.g. jacket or harness);
•  You carry appropriate accreditation or documentation for your Assistance Dog, should it be requested;
• Your dog is vaccinated and in good health;
• Your dog remains under your direct control at all times;
• You respect any areas that may be restricted to dogs due to the presence of sensitive animals or activities.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the Show remains a safe and inclusive event for everyone — two-legged and four-legged alike.
